Nial Giovani was a doctor here in Avenport, Himalia who's practices were highly unorthodox yet very successful.
He's known to have collaborated with Draco Lucioni many years ago when they practiced in the same hospital complex.
Nial then moved on and become a celebrated disease specialist.
At some point following they became involved with the Lind organisation and worked on their Siddhesh project.
They were a popular and diligent worker for Lind though for an unknown reason they were kicked from the project.
They were moved around from department to department until signs of this taking a toll on his health were discovered.
Nial later began showing signs of some unknown contamination from presumedly the Siddhesh lab earlier and were put under quarantine.
Unfortunately he got rapidly worse from there on in as doctors from the Siddhesh project rushed to research his condition.
Unofficially signed over to the Siddhesh project for his and other employees' safety he was indefinitely held in quarantine.
Over the years his condition fluctuated between recovery and relapse almost synchronatically with a changing of hands in the department.
Upon the first instance of his apparent recovery he was given the all clear and allowed his freedom.
However as it turned out the condition was not cured at all and was simply in a dormant state.
During his release he contaminated many of the staff and even a small number of civilians in his local residencial area.
All known individuals who interacted with him were held in quarantine after Dr.Giovani's relapse.
Some had similar syptoms, others seemed to be suffering from a different condition and some showed no signs of infection at all.
However after further research was carried out they were all found to be carrying different strains of the disease Dr. Giovani had.
Some went completely without showing any signs even to today, some later developed symptoms and some appeared to recover.
Due to the nature of the disease they were also held indefinitely in quarantine until tests could show no signs of the virus.
A handful of individuals made a full recovery and were returned to their families showing no sign of the virus.
Others were held in visiting centers where the family could interact with them behind glass.
A small number however were too danger to be in close proximity to the general public and needed special care.
In these amples the family were told that their loved ones had passed away and given dummy funerals to put their minds at ease.
One person in particular, a Mr. Ryan Gilt, was not convinced by the story and caused a media storm with the help of people unknown.
Eventually however the public stopped caring for what Mr. Gilt had to say and the media circus moved onto a newer more fruitful story.
Though many of the other patients showed in general great signs of improvement Dr. Giovani did not.
Even when symtoms improved the quantity of the virus inside him remained constant so he couldn't be let go.
Sure enough there were repetative relapses following.
At one point a revolutionary named Stanley Carter managed to get a position in the Siddhesh project without detection.
He was able to release Dr. Giovani and attempted to free him whilst he was in a state of delirium.
The entire wing was locked off to prevent the spread of the virus and certain staff were freed after they tested negative for the virus.
We steadily reclaiming most of the area, as much as we could find was not contaminated.
Dr. Giovani was reasoned with and returned to his confinement of his own free will.
Carter however was a different story and despite hardly even showing symptoms has been a lot of trouble in general.
They don't seem to understand that they are harboring a dangerous virus even when they symptoms were strong.
They constantly made attempts to escape their confinement, some highly successful and some incredably poorly planned out.
Carter managed to make contact to his revolutionary group outside via a colleague of there's who was also able to infiltrate the building.
We later discovered this to be his unofficial wife Mari Broker who ran a lot of the revelution's piblicity campaigns in the loca area.
Luckily she did not contract the virus in her encounters with Mr. Carter and the fear of an epidemic was put to rest.
Thankfully we were able to resolve the situation in a way that retained her freedom so as to draw attention away from us.
The facility where Dr. Giovani was being held was later ramsacked by a Phi group containing Draco Lucioni in secret.
Dr. Giovani was lead out of the area by Dr. Lucioni and fears rose about the spread of contamination.
Unfortunately the war at that time made it difficult to keep track of Dr. Giovani and the people he'd potentially contaminated.
However, later research showed that he may have in fact been cured of the virus by Dr. Lucioni prior to his escape.
No-one showing symptoms of the virus have arisen since and spot health checks of the public have shown no trace of the virus thank God.
However, departments in other locations have reported traces of the virus in people they have quarantined.
This is not believed to be from Dr. Giovani or any of the patients of the ward where the infected were kept.
It's possible that another individual connected to the Siddhesh project may have transmitted the disease.
So far the strains found seem much less contageous and it's currently believed that all sufferers have been quarantined.
However it's possible the individual responsible for the spread of the virus might still be at large and even infected themselves.
The department responsible for the clean up in that area is yet to get back to us on the details and don't think they ever will.
