self-reflection is a talent totally irrelevant to your level or type of intelligence.
the ability to think something about another thing and then see if that train of thought applies to you in some regard.
it's a talent the creator of this video is severely lacking.
honestly anybody who reads between the lines and doesn't take this at face value won't last to the halfway point without bursting into laughter at how the narrator cremates himself while attempting to tear apart the thing he's reviewing.
i honestly believe this person did each section in one take and didn't run it back for editing because if he did he'd clearly have to pause and double check what he said for the irony of it.
don't believe me? take any 30 second clip of this video and play it twice to get a holup moment.
what i said about Doug Walker's disapproval of Jim Carey earlier seams kind of appropriate here.
if you see some form of entertainment you're unable to replicate let alone improve upon for the enjoyment of the same audience as the original that means that no matter how stupid, half-baked or primative it may appear from your own perspective there is in fact a form of talent put into it that is alien to you and should be respected even if you don't understand it.
the original work, The nostalgia critic review and this video all showcase different perspectives on each of the materials involved going back including the work broadcasting that perspective itself.
this doesn't mean that any of the points raised are wrong in any of the works though to point fingers at the material you're reviewing and try to sing its short-comings tells more about yourself than the thing you're reviewing.
it takes a lot of maturity to look back at your own work and say maybe i missed the point here though in all three amples i don't think any of the creators really did that.
i think for whatever reason people will pick the side of any one of the three creators here and throw shade on the other two.
you are totally entitled to do that, that's a preference.
though to outright disregard the strengths of your rivals can only make you look stupid to an onlooker.
at the end of the day they all had an agenda full of whatever personal interests the creators of the materials had at the time.
none of them acted in a mature manner and took a personal offense.
there is no greater meaning to any of it save for what you interpret for yourself and we should reflect on the way it effects us as more of a message about ourselves.
wow. this is like the deepest stuff i've ever written .
