John/Sam Reverse Fusion Dance Go!
When I started the Sam fandom thing the Sam persona was exclusively used by me myself (John) even thought Denzel was used as the template for the character somewhat.
Over the years however Denzel has been a lot more involved and by now depending on where you go the account is being used by either of us or even both.
Also in more recent times 2 more people have begun moonlighting using the account, one obviously being Charlie and often for convenience his girlfriend Netanye though despite the rumours this one is only
in the last few days or so.
Sam is of course ultimately my character as their design at it's core is centred around myself and especially my personality with the design being very typical of my characters especially those of my created universe, Albion.
In fact in that latter regard he is somewhat out of place in the setting of the Sam universe even if he is the flagship main character in it though that is somewhat what makes him unique and why the world is centred around him.
John by comparison despite having a very typically fantastic variant used in other mediums where that's appropriate in the Sam universe is actually a lot more realistic and to an extent that it's even his defining feature somewhat.
Unlike Sam who can manipulate the laws of reality to his whim with the right knowhow, John is stuck operating within the given laws of reality and what's physically possible for most people.
Interestingly the results of this are the opposite of what you'd expect.
Sam the ever enterprising extrovert relies on mostly a handful of tried and tested skills and rarely experiments with his potential.
John the lethargic shut-in instead constantly tinkers with technology especially his prosthetic arm to improve and vary his skills.
Sam's skills are based in the realms of fantasy where the limitations are mostly the product of flawed personalities like Sam's.
John's skills are based in the realms of reality where the limitations are the product of not learning enough or knowing how to use that knowledge creatively.
And that's not from a functional stand point about their typical video game universe like skills, it goes for more down to earth and human interactions too.
And yet the two share often the same situations with similar solutions proving how similar they really are when you chip away their obvious differences.
So it makes sense how these 2 characters are the equal opposites of each other, an allegory like yin and yang.
So from now on let there be no more confusion, you wanna speak about things that are personal to yourself, then use your personal identity i.e. John, Denzel, Charlie, Netanye, etc.
You wanna speak in role as Sam' personality or character, then use the Sam account.
