Hair Element (link) involves strands of hair.
Feed Powers can be cast through the hair medium allowing Feed Power type skills to be cast through the hair instead of via feeds alone.
Feeds normally pass through objects unless they are conductive or have a soul.
Hair is a physical medium so it can touch most objects.
For some purposes this is better especially as hair creates a physical tether to any type of object.
Instead of of course a feed's etherial tether to conductive materials and soul energy.
Obviously in other cases a feed's ability to pass through objects might be more beneficial.
It really depends on the intended purpose.
