So let me get this straight.

They are arguing with an English speaker that the definition of a pizza in another language is different.

Okay so..

A glacier in English is a huge ice

flow.
A glacier in French is a snow cone.

Sausage in English is meat made made into a cylindrical shape.
Sausage in German is a soup.

Of course words change definition when they are adopted by other cultures.
If that didn't happen, our languages would only have a handful of words.
