people have died eating these seed pods. eat seed is like that of a dandilion though compressed together. when they have freedom to move they splay out taking up more space though are then difficult to compress back to the way they wer without twisting on them the way they grey in the pod. with them taking up more space and being unable to compress them again they stick to the pallette and other wet surfaces in the mouth forming a hole in the center which remains dry. when the person then inhales in shock the dry seed heads catch the air like dandilion seeds and are carried by the draft down into the lungs where they get wet and cling to the side of the windpipe. this causes the body to produce muccus to bind together the foreign particles so that they can be expelled in a lump. the problem is that the feathery limbs of the seed heads cause a large surface area so the mucus sticks it to the sides of the windpipe instead of bunching them together. this causes the body to produce more and more mucus to try to dislodge the seeds and then the amount of mucus itself becomes a problem as the lungs fill with fluid. this death by drowning in your own body's survival mechanism is known as secondary drowning. so definitely don't do this. it's deadlier than the cinnamon challenge.
