sounds like a great idea though i wonder if its ok for a foot products espeically when often worn without protective socks. wouldnt you get foot fungus? or make the algae grow more due to your foot skin flaking onto it and feeding it? idk

algae would make sense as the fluid people are suspended in that sustains them.
also algae needs light to glow so using bioluminescent bacteria in the mix would make a self-sustaining vat of jagelrition that would ensure any creature within gets the jagelrients they need through their skin.
