Nematoids are parasitic worms that nest in the body and gorge on the host's blood.
They are normally aquired by eating uncooked meat though are also water-born parasites found in lakes, oceans and rivers.
Many inadventertantly transmit diseases to the host such as salmonella.
However they also deliberately transmit a disease that draws the host to water so they find a safe place to reproduce.
They come in 2 varieties: Gordiacea AKA Hairworms, which are long and thin, or Nematodes AKA Roundworms, which are short and fat.
The anthropomorphic races of these are called Gordiamorphs and Nematodamorphs respectively.
However Gordiamorphs are known in layman's terms as Hairworm-morphs and Nematodamorphs are known as Roundworm-morphs.
-
The Shitajin are Gordiamorphs so you know what you'll be getting in an anthropomorph.
Gordiamorphs tangle themselves into the rough form of other creatures and are very agile especially in water.
Nematodamorphs are a hairy variant which disguise their form more successfully with a cover of hair and are very strong instead.
Both can take the form of many other animals, sentient races and objects though only Gordiamorphs can burrow into objects to hide.
Both can have high levels of precision though it affects each differently.
Gordiamorphs can project their bodies to stab, grab or even infest other animals.
Nematodamorphs can't do this though they can control their hair at will with natural Hair Element skills that Gordiamorphs don't have.
Both have Disease Soup abilities which can overload a target with fever and infection based diseases.
Though these are easy to cure they are very potent and left untreated can be deadly rather than disabling.
