okay, so this first ample is for scale though in the final version there'll be 3D perspective. and now here's that same image though with vertical perspective. furthest point relative horizontal perspective. now an x-y grid based on the true vertex positions. now crop it to fit the character's maximum sideways reach. and now I've added a scope for sniping on the right. it shows the area that extends beyond the main screen. added 2 meters of height above the ground so you can see people without them covering the menu. added the basic stat bars you'll use most often. from left to right they are: health, mana and qi. also unified the height scale to a measure that makes the character sprite actly 2x scale.
EDIT 2019/08/06: adding the horizontal perspective based at ground level. about 3/4 done here. the left side when completed can be mirrored to the right.
EDIT 2019/09/02: finished the WIP scaling options will be available when the visuals are finished. here's a look at what 150% looks like.

when i skew the tiles i can then get around to texturing it. then i'll be using splices to tile the environment. the character sprite itself is actually part of the tiles as well. it's basically a huge collage of images.
